A Family Business, Reimagined for the Future
In 1996, my father opened a small retail shop in Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad. Back then, it was called Jain Stores — built on trust, personal relationships, and a deep understanding of what customers truly needed.
I joined the business full-time on January 1, 2009, and soon after, formally established Purab Enterprises on April 1, 2010 — laying the foundation for structured, scalable retail operations.
On May 31, 2018, I also formed Virtual Toyhome Private Limited, a company created to resell products through our own website and Amazon. It was an early step into e-commerce — but after a few years, we decided to discontinue it and return focus to more sustainable, customer-first retail models.
Over the years, I witnessed a massive shift. Retail was moving from offline to online. Customer behaviour, brand dynamics, and market structures were evolving fast — but not always in the right direction.
On March 1, 2025, I took the leap and transformed Naivri into a commission-free, omni-channel marketplace — with one simple mission:
To repair retail, not disrupt it.
The Naivri Experiment
The idea was to build a smarter, cleaner, and more local alternative — connecting customers directly with brands and nearby sellers for fair pricing, same-day delivery, and genuine service.
It was a learning phase that helped me deeply understand the challenges of modern retail — from platform dependency and inflated commissions to logistical inefficiencies.
However, after several months of running the model, I realised that meaningful change needs time, scale, and a large dedicated team.
On October 30, 2025, I decided to discontinue Naivri’s marketplace services.
It was a trial phase — and while a few wonderful sellers came onboard, there wasn’t enough traction to continue sustainably.
Since I manage everything single-handedly, it became difficult to keep following up on things that ideally shouldn’t need constant intervention.
So, I chose to pause the marketplace journey — with gratitude and clarity.
The Road Ahead
Naivri will now focus on growing as a curated kids’ gifting brand — rooted in the same values that built our family business: trust, transparency, and personal connection.
We continue to offer a handpicked range of toys, books, fashion accessories, collectibles, and return gifts, available for same-day delivery across Delhi NCR.
No inflated MRPs.
No fake discounts.
Just thoughtfully selected products at honest prices — delivered swiftly and reliably.
